The Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust is committed to making education accessible to all, especially to students from underprivileged communities. With a growing network of schools and colleges across Gujarat, the Trust ensures that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to receive a formal education. Each institution is equipped with modern infrastructure, including state-of-the-art classrooms, libraries, and laboratories, creating a holistic and future-ready learning environment.

With over 70,000 students across 17 schools, 7 colleges, and the nurturing haven of Vatsalya Dham, the Trust’s educational ecosystem is one of the largest in Gujarat. As part of this mission, the Trust has developed a world-class integrated healthcare system aimed at uplifting underprivileged communities through accessible, ethical, and patient-focused medical services.

Shantabaa Medical College & General Hospital (SMCGH)

Established through a Public-Private Partnership with the Gujarat Government, Shantabaa Medical College and General Hospital is more than a healthcare facility, it's a centre for healing, learning, and human development. With 750 beds, modern infrastructure, advanced medical equipment, and in-house diagnostic laboratories and pharmacies, the hospital provides high-quality diagnoses and treatments to thousands.

The hospital also serves as a teaching institution, offering aspiring doctors hands-on training and clinical exposure, preparing them to become future leaders in healthcare. The dedicated team of professionals at SMCGH remains passionate about delivering exceptional medical care to both the district and the surrounding regions.

Health Check-Up Initiatives

Healthcare should know no boundaries. The Trust regularly conducts health check-up drives in remote and underserved areas, ensuring medical attention reaches the most vulnerable. These initiatives offer free consultations, basic treatments, and health screenings to individuals with limited or no access to modern healthcare services. The goal is clear: leave no one behind when it comes to well-being.

Blood Donation Drives

The Gajera Trust has been a pioneer in organizing blood donation camps for over two decades, making a significant impact on the lives of those in need. One of its initiatives even earned a world record for the largest blood donation drive. These campaigns aim to ensure that anyone in urgent need of blood receives it without delay, reinforcing the Trust’s commitment to saving lives through collective action.

Eye Check-up Camps

To mark 50 years of Laxmi Diamond’s legacy, eye check-up camps were organised across 50 different locations. The aim: to ensure healthy vision for every individual in the community. These camps help in the early detection of vision-related issues and provide necessary treatments, reinforcing the belief that sight is a right, not a privilege.

When disaster strikes, the Gajera Trust acts swiftly. Whether it’s floods, earthquakes, or other natural calamities, the Trust provides emergency relief materials, medical assistance, and support for rebuilding efforts. These interventions ensure that affected families are not only cared for in times of crisis but also supported as they rebuild their lives.

Vatsalyadham

Founded with compassion at its core, Vatsalyadham is a home for over 800 children who have been given the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a nurturing environment. Here, children receive quality education, holistic care, and emotional support, empowering them to unlock their full potential and build brighter futures.

Tree Plantation

Every sapling planted is a step closer to a balanced ecosystem and a cleaner tomorrow. Twice a year, we come together to plant trees as a promise to the generations to come. This ongoing drive towards afforestation is our way of creating healthier, greener spaces while actively contributing to achieving carbon neutrality by 2025.

Water Preservation

Water is life, and preserving it is our shared duty. We prioritise water conservation through conscious usage, community efforts, and awareness. Our goal is not only to preserve this vital resource but also to ensure its accessibility to more people. Because safeguarding water means safeguarding life.

Solar Energy

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7, we’ve installed a 10 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Pali, Rajasthan. Commissioned under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission in 2015, this plant generates clean, non-polluting energy and supplies it directly to Rajasthan’s power grid. Equipped with dedicated substations and smart metering systems, our solar project reflects our ongoing investment in renewable energy and a low-carbon future.

Wind Energy

Our commitment to clean energy continues with a 3 MW wind turbine in Gujarat. This installation generates approximately 11 million KWH annually—double the energy we consume. It’s our way of producing more green energy than we use, and reinforcing our responsibility toward energy sustainability.

Carbon Neutrality Pledge

We recognise that the time for change is now. That’s why Laxmi Diamond has pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025. Every environmental initiative we undertake, from tree planting to renewable energy, is a step toward that vision. Because when the planet thrives, we all shine brighter.
